Uromastyx Enclosure Setup

Setting up the right habitat is critical.

Size

4x2x2 feet minimum for adults. PVC enclosures retain heat best.

Heating

Basking: 120-130F. Cool side: 80-85F. Use halogen flood bulbs for basking.

UVB

10.0 or 12% T5 HO tube. Arcadia 12% or Zoo Med 10.0. Replace every 6 months.

Substrate

Excavator clay, sand/soil mix 70/30, or slate tiles.
